Construction underway of new homes for whanau at Epuni Precinct

It was a pleasure to have a walk through yesterday to look at how the build is shaping in this ground breaking new precinct that will offer wrap around health services, community gardens, orchards, beautiful facilities and a community centre with a commercial kitchen.

The first housing project of its kind in Aotearoa, it will offer the care and aroha needed to support those suffering trauma from lack of adequate housing.

We are so excited to be part of this mahi, bringing the opportunity of kai production on-site .. and into the community kitchen. Our Māra Sister Jo will be facilitating weekly sessions and helping whānau develop their own kai skills as well as helping whānau connect to their new community through kai.

We can't wait to welcome them home...together.
